Webinar: Energy Demand, Generation and Resilience under a Changing Climate

gsp

The Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership has organized a webinar, hosted in collaboration with Hydro-Québec, WEMC and the Ouranos Consortium

The webinar will be presented by Dr. Alberto Troccoli (Managing Director, World Energy & Meteorology Council and Visiting Professor, University of East Anglia) and Dr. Marco Braun (Hydroclimatology Specialist, Ouranos Consortium).

What is the webinar about?

The energy sector is undergoing a major transformation. This transformation is taking place within a variable and changing climate. Given the weather and climate dependency of both renewable energy resources and demand (even in the case of large storage uptake), it is important to understand how weather and climate variations can and does affect, energy demand and generation.

This webinar will provide some background on these wide-ranging issues. It will then delve into some specific and informative case studies about the use of climate data for energy applications.
