1. Climate forecast and projections for energy operation and planning

Chair: (TBC)

Aim:  To draft recommendations on various level of ‘accuracy’ of climate forecast and projections required for operations and planning of energy systems

2. Data exchanges, access and standards

Chair: Laurent Dubus (EDF, France)

Aim:  To draft main points for a document to promote data sharing, to be promoted with meteorology and energy organisations

 

Thursday, 29 June

1. Grid integration

Chair: Charlie Smith (UVIG, USA)

Aim:  To draft recommendations on information needed to make best use of available grid integration tools (e.g. short term renewable energy forecasting)

2. Energy-meteorology education

Chair: S. Karthik Mukkavilli (UNSW/CSIRO, Australia)

Aim: To identify knowledge and skill gaps in Energy-Meteorology education for roles in research and industry
