Aminat YisaIntern

I am Aminat, and I have just completed my undergraduate degree (B.Tech) in Meteorology and Climate science at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. My interests lie in air quality assessment, pollutants, climate change, and climate modelling.

I decided to pursue my passion by joining NGOs engaged in multifaceted climate change action and sustainable protection activities. These organisations advocate for climate change awareness and adaptation strategies. I have volunteered for these NGOs in public engagement on climate action, climate education, and awareness in the communities and rural areas. Additionally, I volunteered as a designer for Women Techmakers Akure (for International Women’s Day 2023) and as a designer for the Google Developer Group (GDG Akure, Nigeria) during my undergraduate studies.

I am currently an intern at WEMC concentrating on analysing species of pollutants, both PM10 and PM2.5, obtained from different sources and emission inventories as part of the FOCI project.
