The World Energy & Meteorology Council (WEMC) is pleased to announce the opening of a Communications Officer role. Do you enjoy communicating to a variety of audiences – industry, academia, policy, general public? Are you keen to contribute to combatting climate change, by improving the adoption of weather and climate solutions for the energy industry?
We are seeking a highly motivated, result-driven, pro-active and fun person who will contribute to the communications and to office coordination of the WEMC’s activities and projects. The successful candidate will contribute to current projects WEMC is a leader or partner of, such as the EU H2020 SECLI-FIRM (http://www.secli-firm.eu). You should be effective at communicating weather and climate solutions for the energy industry, including designing and implementing innovative ways to communicate. Although desirable, no prior knowledge of weather and climate is required: a strong and proven willingness to learn about this field is however essential.
