This role will play a vital role in supporting the company’s external positions and advocacy on significant environmental and social issues through managing the Group level Policy Advocacy Working Group (PAWG) which develops BP positions on material social and environmental issues. The role will include coordinating and developing positions across BP’s businesses and functions on high profile issues which can range from anything from climate change and the energy transition to biodiversity and human rights.
The role will also help drive internal and external communication of BP positions and lead on areas of environmental policy for the Group.
The role requires a strong combination of relationship management, influencing and technical analysis, strong interpersonal skills and excellent project management.
