    Tuesday 9th & 23rd July 2019: SIG Kick-Off Meetings

    Please find here the link to the combined minutes from the two KO meetings that took place on Tuesday 9th & Tuesday 23rd July 2019.

    Action items are highlighted YELLOW. Action items for individuals were agreed in the meeting. Action items for everyone are always optional, but your contribution to them would be exceptionally helpful. They are:

    • ACTION: ALL – Please contact Kit Rackley (KR) by Thursday 15th August if interested [being a co-lead] and want to know more. Can the discuss a role description, expectations etc.
    • ACTION: ALL – If you are aware, or become aware of a very good meteorology, energy, climate etc resource/resources that are relevant to your location/country/culture etc, then to post it on the WEMC Education SIG forum: https://www.wemcouncil.org/wp/forums/topic/educational-resources/

    • ACTION: ALL – Spread word about RMetSoc’s “Come Rain or Shine” FutureLearn online course to whoever may benefit (teachers, trainees etc)
    • ACTION: ALL – Please contribute at least one resource or link to the forum – in-kind benefit! : https://www.wemcouncil.org/wp/forums/topic/educational-resources/
    • ACTION: ALL – Let Kit know if you are attending the Geographical Association Conference 2020 and whether you think it’s worthwhile them organising an Education SIG meet-up
    • ACTION: ALL – If you are interested in engaging your students to test for the new Education Climate & Energy tool, and/or help with teaching resource creation please contact Kit directly.
