Kristian had a great passion for climate and weather from when he was young. This inspired him to gain a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics and a Master’s degree in Climate Change, Impacts, Mitigation and Adaptation, both from the University of Copenhagen.
Following his studies, he used the knowledge and skills acquired and further expanded and improved these, working in two start-up companies related to weather and climate in Denmark.
After moving to Barcelona in 2018 he worked on the EU Horizon 2020 SECLI-FIRM project, while working for project partner Underwriters Laboratories (UL), tailoring seasonal climate forecasts for end-users in the renewable energy sector.
As Data Engineer at WEMC, Kristian is involved in the gathering, quality control and homogenizing of seasonal climate forecast for the Teal tool.
